NORTHEAST SOLITE CORPORATION
HELPING TO EXPAND THE HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY.

Solite® is specified in hospitals by architects, engineers and design/builders due to its flexibility in meeting enhanced fire rated floor and wall assemblies. These projects are current examples that are under construction now for completion in the Fall of 2009 that incorporate UL® three and four hour fire rated systems in their construction.

In addition, reduced dead loads require smaller columns and longer spans between columns are realized.

These factors increase useable space, reduce initial and operational costs, and lower fire insurance premiums.

TWAALFSKILL BRIDGE – (August 2008)

HYDROCURE® – Cures, even before finishing stops.

Phase I of a 2 year project on NYS Route 9W requires the construction of a new, wider more sustainable structure to accommodate higher vehicular traffic. Phase I addresses the southbound lane. Phase II commencing in the spring of 2009 will address the northbound lane.
HydroCure® was selected based on its ability to minimize cracking in the High Performance Concrete (HPC) deck. Its use improves on all the characteristics of concrete. This is accomplished by substituting a small amount Hydrocure for some of the natural sand in a yard of concrete.

TANNERSVILLE, NY – WATER TREATMENT FACILITY – (September 27, 2007)

MANUFACTURED WETLAND IN TANNERSVILLE

This is a manufactured wetland that utilizes Solite® lightweight aggregate to breakdown harmful compounds. The effluent passes through the aggregate that contains colonized bacteria that feed on the compounds. The native plants then complete the filtration process absorbing the converted material that is now a plant nutrient. The resulting effluent leaves the wetland via gravity in a purified state into the watershed. Click here For more information on Wetlands.
